The Legal Bits *yawn*

Legal bits? *yawn* who has time to sit trying to figure out what you need to do for this wedding to be legal? That's why I have put together this list of tips for you to make it ten times easier. 1. Civil Ceremonies: Both bride and groom must give notice of marriage in their local (to their home) registry office at least 28 days prior to the wedding UNLESS you are using the Church of England or Church in Wales. They do theirs at the same time as the wedding. 2. For other religious ceremonies, you must give at least 28 days notice to your local registry office. 3. Local authorities in England and Wales may approve the venue where civil ceremonies can take place. Most venues that are approved will state this somewhere in their brochure or on their website. If in doubt, just ask them. 4. If you are getting married abroad, check on the local requirements for your venue. Also, you need to let your registry office know within 28 days and check with them if you will need to get legally married before or after your wedding, in your country.
